Watched the Duchess of Cambridge leave the hospital today-well I was watching the news and this time it was just buried underneath all this news about the economy and weather!!Somebody is reading my blog!!
Anyway what caught my attention was the receding hairline on Prince William.I have this theory -baldness skips a generation.I do not know how it works,but I have noticed enough people's hair to see the pattern-excuse the pun!
Let me start at home-my uncle is bald,but my cousin is not,my brother-in-law was bald,but my nephew is not.Conversely,bald men's fathers are not bald.Case in point-my sweet better-half and Prince William.My father-in-law is close to seventy,but has a head full of hair.Ditto Prince Charles.
I've kind of put the two together and come up with the conclusion that baldness skips a generation.
Which makes me feel better because my kids will probably have a head full of hair(what is inside is another matter!).I have heard enough number of women complain that some guy their parents found for them to marry was bald-bald!Well, from personal experience,it means nothing.It does not contribute in any way to the guy's character or behavior. Unless he is very conscious about it.Which my husband is not.So there!!
But my poor grandchildren!!Not yet a gleam in my kids' eyes,but I worry!!
