Our last two days in France-well the last day was spent almost entirely at Ibis CDG airport,so our second to last day was spent at Versailles-awe inspiring but hurried and harried-the kids had about had it by then and were in no mood to walk around yet another chateau and we were at Versailles  pretty close to closing time-so we went through the place in a hurry and spent more time in the gardens behind the palace.

The opulence of the palace was thought provoking-so much for an emperor and his family? The Grand Hall was truly grand and full of glitz and gold.

One of the fountains of the Sun king

We rested our weary legs on the park bench while,Dad took a walk along the gardens.

Yet another fountain.

The reception at Cheval Rouge

The Parking lot over looking the rooms at Cheval Rouge.
We stayed at The Hotel Cheval Rouge-used be the royal stables we heard-comfortable rooms and beautiful locale.

That brought us to the end of our trip in France. The whole of next day was spent at the hotel-Noe was very antsy and we were not sure what was going on with him-so we stayed put at the hotel.Besides we had an early flight to catch the next day and decided to forgo Givenchy because of that.
Oh,there is always the next time!
But we will never forget this trip-it was memorable in everyday and fulfilled all our ideas of what an amazing vacation would be!It far exceeded our expectations and will stay with us for a very long time.It was just 10 days, but it was 10 days of unadulterated enjoyment. And we will cherish not just the place but memories of all the people we came across-Dineen who helped us into the apartment in Rue Lepic, the sweet waitress at the deli where our kids ate their first meal in France, the postman at the post office near Abbesses who helped me purchase stamps for the postcard we bought, the creperie guy who made conversation while the crepes were made, the Indian owner of a souvenir shop near the Moulin Rouge, the Pakistani guy in yet another souvenir shop who gave the kids bracelets that said "I love Paris",the cab driver who complimented Emmy on his french being,"bien",the owners of Hotel Biencourt who went above and beyond what they had to do,to make our stay memorable, the waiter at the cafe in Azay le Rideau who served us a sumptuous meal and sweet wine from the Loire valley, every shopkeeper who made small talk with us while wrapping our purchases, and every person who patiently helped us with directions which were asked for in broken French!

So to quote that famous guy?!-"We'll be back!!"
