Oh,I've been told he WILL NOT accompany me to a Thamizh movie!!
Proves two things-one, he is reading my posts and two, I have failed yet again- to convince him to do something he hates, for me!!
Oh, don't mistake me, my husband does an awful lot for me without me asking at all, but when you have too much of something, you gluttonously want more isn't it?Remember the song from the Jiiva movie I mentioned a few posts back? That's me!!
I am not very tidy person, but he never comments on the unkempt look of the house-ever-he just silently picks up after me.
He eats whatever is put in front of him- but I am, ahem, a marvelous cook, or so I am told, so as much as I want to give him credit for eating everything I cook, I don't think it is a very difficult task where his love for me has to overcome his revulsion for the food!!
I have free rein over finances - the first thing he did when we arrived in Oregon, was drag me to the bank and convert his account to a joint one to include me. And to this day he has never bothered to ask me how his hard earned money gets spent. I know of people who keep track of how much their wife spends on what and as much as everyone has their way of handling things, I think it is an enormous morale booster for any woman, specially stay-at-home Moms like me, to be in control of the household.
He never comments on my choice of attire, be it color, style or anything. He never comments on my weight or on my efforts to lose some of it.
We are of one mind as regards the kids-we differ very rarely on what we think needs to be done for them and we almost(?!) always present an united front when disciplining them.
He never critiques my taste in things-music,books etcetera and never compels me to adhere to his tastes(ballet notwithstanding!!).He will listen to all my crazy ravings(which has now become my blog!!) without comment and without belittling me.
I can go on and on...
But see, he will not watch a movie with me-this after I watched that Hobbit thing-an utter waste of time if you ask me-you know there is a sequel/prequel or something coming up soon from the way they have stretched the story line to unbearable lengths when the movie could have been gotten over within an hour at the most!
Anyway,I have a budding Thamizh movie fan in the house who will cooperate and off we will go to the latest flick(he is partial to Vijay and I will have to swallow my annoyance and go......), all is well eh?
