We found out that the wait to take the elevator to the tower was almost 3 hours and we decided to take the stairs instead-almost 350 steps to the first level and the same number to the second, but everyone gets to take the elevator to the third floor.
The base looks humungous-the size of the thing is mind boggling! |
The wait to take the stairs was short, but not that short where you could just scoot up the stairs-a half an hour.
The children were so cooperative-no whining while climbing those stairs at all.We had good views from both levels before we hit the top-I thought the height would scare you,but the tower is so well scaffolded that you don't really "feel" you are that high up!!
We then took our suicases back to the Ibis CDG Hotel and left it in the lockers because we did not want to lug them around when we visited the chateaus!!Ah,the chateaus!!

View from one of the lower levels. |
We made to the bottom and walked to the Bois de Boulogne-the view was utterly different and oh,so charming!!To see the tower from afar-literally far away from the madding crowd was really soothing!!
Calm and Collected!! |
